Infection in tooth: Antibiotics can decrease the infection but you need to remedy the cause of the infection. This is by either root canal therapy or extraction.

First things First..: Did your dentist prescribe the antibiotics for this infection? If so, it may need to be changed, or the affected tooth may need to be attended to immediately. If you've taken an antibiotic on your own without seeking the help of a dentist... Stop. Antibiotics do not resolve dental problems, they manage the symptoms so that the teeth can be treated. Either way you need to call a dentist.

Antibiotics: Antibiotics are a temporary measure, not a cure. Bacteria react differently to different antibiotics. Repeated use without definitive treatment, is asking for trouble as the bacteria become resistant. You need definitive treatment. You need to see a dentist asap. In the mean time you may need to go to urgent care or an emergency room for more temporary treatment until you can get to a dentist.
