Balance hormones: There is a balance between the hormones from your thyroid (free T4 and t3), adrenal gland (cortisol) and your sex hormones (estrogen: e1, e2, e3, progesterone, testosterone). I would check all of your hormone levels and replace those which are low with bio-identical hormones. You will be able to loose weight easier when you are in balance.

Optimize the thyroid: I recommend having your free T4, free T3, (liothyronine) Reverse T3, (liothyronine) Sex Hormone Binding Globulin, Estrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone, and Ferritin (Iron Storage) levels all checked and optimized. Estrogen dominance in menopause can significantly interfere with thyroid function. Also have your thyroglobulin and TPO antibodies checked as Hashimoto's autoimmune thyroiditis is often unmasked in menopause.
