A member asked:

Im 46 yo & have treated hypothyroidism. im not menopausal & do not have pvd but the hair on my legs stopped growing entirely. adrenal? what else?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many possibilities: There are a number of potential causes for hair loss or lack of growth - thyroid, DHEA, nutritional, testosterone, stress (which affects hormones), etc. At 46, your hormones are likely changing even without menopausal symptoms. If this is worrisome for you, express your concerns to your doctor, and testing can be done to help elucidate a possible cause.
