How long after discharge from the hospital should your arm hurt from where the iv was? anything i can do to help or relieve this acheyness?

Varies: It could be anywhere up to week depending on what happened with the iv if there if no swelling or redness or streaks going up your arm you should be fine. You can take some advil (ibuprofen) or similar if you are able to take it.

If hard or firm: You can get scarring of the veins sometimes from ivs that just don't go away and may need attention. Analgesics may be helpful or even applying warm compress but if not better go see doctor. If no redness probably not something urgent but some people have for time and it impairs circulation.
