TTH: Tension type headaches (also known as stress headaches) are the most common of headaches. Although research suggests that tth is not caused by muscle contraction, it may be associated with pericranial muscle tenderness, increased EMG activity and stress. The management of episodic and chronic tth consists of psychological support, physical therapy and pharmacotherapies. See orofacial pain doctor.

When you worry: When you worry, your muscles can get tight in your head. That can cause a headache. Learn relaxation techniques, perhaps yoga, deep breathing, meditation. Assess your worry problems for what they are worth. Do not spend $10 worth of worry on a 10 cent problem. Make an action plan to fix the problem. Release worry on things controlled by others. Smoking contributes too. Try to stop smoking.
