Quality of life : For people at this age no matter what disease they might suffer of the most important thing is quality of life. Certainly depending on how advanced these two conditions are it is crucial to weight the risks of not taking medications as prescribed versus living with unwanted and uncomfortable side effects. Making sure he is comfortable with his treatment and discussing with pcp is vital.
