Sometimes: Typically a yolk sac and fetal pole are visible at 5 weeks 5 days on a transvaginal ultasound. Even a few days can make a difference in what is seen that early in a pregnancy, so most doctors will recommend another ultrasound in a few days to a week to confirm whether there is a viable pregnancy.
