A member asked:

Babies eye infection - after 5 days of applying prescribed eye ointment our daughters eye still seems to be infected/swollen and producing a lot of puss like material, how do we proceed from here, is it necessary to see a pediatrician ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Specialist: For persistent infection, you should see a pediatric ophthalmologist if possible or at least an ophthalmologist. Do not see an optometrist, and a pediatrician would be if the others are not available.
