A member asked:

Is it serious enough to go out to see a pediatrician these days for raynaud's syndrome in infant my son 1 month old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely diagnosis: All infants have a system designed to maximize growth while minimizing energy loss. This shows up when their uncovered fingers/toes/ears become pale or bluish in a room where the temperature is below their body temperature. If placed in a warm tub these structures blush immediately. It is not Raynaud's but their design to avoid heat loss. It fades as they become older/bulkier.
