Ask ur orthodontist: It would not be prudent for anyone to advise you, over the internet, sight unseen, as to how to wear your elastics, especially since you are currently under the care of an orthodontist. Make the call.

Can't tell,: Since I don't know which direction (Cl. II or Cl. III) your elastics are going or if it was the upper or lower that shifted left. Best not to double your elastics until you check with your doctor again.
