How many hours does radiation stay in body after xray?

GONE instantly: Xrays are very powerful electromagnetic waves that go right though the body in an instant. When the xray machine is off, so is the radiation. What you may be alluding to is the fact that xrays produce tissue/dna damage that can accumulate and cause cancer. It is recommended that we all should limit life-time xray exposure (especially ct scans).
