Not as scary as: The drugs you abuse? If Suboxone is used as prescribed and you work closely with your doctor, then compared to what got you addicted in the first place, Suboxone will be much less scary. If Suboxone is too scary, then what? You keep using living your life as before? I wonder this thing about Suboxone being scary is just your attempt to find an excuse to ignore your addiction?

FALSE: This is not accurate. It is used for Opiate Use Disorder but I do not think the hardcore part is accurate and you do not get high which is the whole point and benefits. You need to see a qualified doctor that will evaluate your disorder and determine if you need Suboxone and the appropriate dose.

Methadone alternate: I agree with Dr. Khalily. If suboxone is used properly by a certified physician, then it can be slowly tapered over time. If there are adverse effects from suboxone, methadone remains an alternate approach that has been used for decades, but needs also to be prescribed by a physician with experience with the drug. With either you should be fully functional. Get high.....on life.

Do not be scared: Suboxone is used for opioid addiction. You do not have to be a hard core addict to get treated with it but you do need to have opioid addiction. It has no high side effects, and no you do not get hooked to it. It has to be prescribed by a suboxone certified provider and everyone's addiction is different so the provider can recommend the dose and duration based on your specific scenario.
