I am prescribed suboxone, clonidine, ibuprofen 600, methocarbynol trying to get custody of my kids and i took a drug test for dcyf and she said it was positive for codeine would these cause a false positive for codeine? i told her no way?

Many common meds can cause a false positive for Opiates. these include: Dextromethorphan (cough syrup), Diphenhydramine (benadryl), Doxylamine (sleep aids), Tramadol (Ultram- pain reliever), Quietapine (seroquel- antidepressant), Levofloxacin/Ofloxacin (antibiotics). Your next step should be to have a confirmatory blood test which is more specific for each med.
