Allergy: 'cobble-stoning' refers to the appearance of back of the throat caused by an allergy, which may be seasonal or persistent throughout the year. Other symptoms of 'post nasal drip' are: runny nose, cough, nasal congestion, bad breath (halitosis), face pain, throat 'burning' & 'tickle'. Treatment is may include antibiotics, decongestants, nasal irrigation (neti) , antihistamines, nasal steroids.
