Exercise during: Pregnancy is usually a good thing (unless you have a specific condition for which your obstetrician recommends no exercise). However, during pregnancy is not the right time to deliberately lose weight. Take care and congratulations.

Talk w/your OB: Moderate exercise and appropriate nutrition are excellent, but it is not a good idea to attempt weight loss while pregnant. You will need to be monitored for gestational diabetes, and make sure thyroid level is normal. Talk w/a good registered dietitian as well.
