Estrogen & Insulin: Estrogen and Insulin promote fibroid growth. Eating 6 small meals a day spread out as if one has had by bariatric surgery is very helpful for weight loss. Avoid dairy, sugar wheat, rice, corn and processed foods, eat lots of vegetables, and less fruit, take sufficient vit d and iron especially if having heavy periods, sleep well, move through day. Embolizatiion would not require weight loss.

Need treatment: Fibroids are common benign tumors of uterus , smaller ones possible to treat with medications, large one you are describing most likely need surgical removal , please take her to her gynecologist for examination and treatment.
