A member asked:

I'm 18 years old and i haven't gotten my period for almost 2 years is it possible for me to still get pregnant?not having a period is it bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Secondary amenorrhea: is defined as the cessation of a period for 6 or more months in a women who previously had normal periods. One would not consider a 2 year absence of menses in an 18 year old woman normal, and an evaluation for the causes should be initiated. Once the reason for the change has been identified, your question can be answered. Best wishes!
