It's complex: My simple answer is that something whether within your body/brain or outside situations are interfering with your brain "registering safety"...When we don't "feel" safe it is normal to have difficulty sleeping. Working with a professional sometimes is often required to figure it out. And it is important to get it figured out. All the best.
