CBTI: Sometimes this can involve medication or use of another thought to take the place of worry type of thoughts. I like to use the sentence "no ifs, ands or buts" and repeat it over and over. This often puts whatever thoughts or worries off in an other land. Hope this helps.

Worry and insomnia: If you suffer from generalized anxiety disorder, being a worry wort, a number of interventions might work. Buspirone, ssri's, certain anticonvulsants, and others are effective. Cognitive behavior therapy, biofeedback, and counseling specific to your worry may help. Be certain to eliminate physical causes which can induce worry - caffeine, alcohol/drugs, medications, pain and sleep disorders.
