Nope: Once you've had ebv your body makes immune cells against it that will fight if off and prevent another infection the next time. Mono can be caused by more than just ebv though, such as cmv. So, you're not out of the woods completely.

My doctor recently diagnosed me with Mono and Im not sure thats whats causing my symptoms. Is there any additional tests I could have her do to see if the EBV virus is active inside me and what is causing my symptoms or if Im just carrying it?
