How can health care deductible work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You are responsible: to pay the amount of your deductible out of pocket each year before your insurance company will pay anything. If you have a $2000,00 deductible you are responsible to pay the first $2000.00 dollar of your medical bills before your insurance will start paying anything.
