Get help!: Your dr can assess for formal disorder ; underlying medical conditions that may be causing symptoms. Talking therapy (cognitive behavioral therapy or insight oriented psychotherapy) is important for lasting change. Psychiatric meds may be indicated. Bottom line- if whatever you have been doing on your own isn't doing the trick then see your doctor, a psychiatrist or a psychologist. Take care.
