A member asked:

What to do if i've been runny and training hard lately but don't you only get osgood during growth spurts or something?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Osgood Schlatter's: this condition is related to traction on a growth plate at the upper part of the tibia. It happens on the area where you would kneel. Without a growth plate, you can't get Osgood-Schlatter's disease. This is only possible in growing adolescents. You can certainly develop patellar tendinitis from running and training hard, but it is technically not Osgood Schlatter's disease.
