Laryngitis: Most of the time you loose your voice is due to laryngitis which causes swelling and inflamation to the voice box.It is caused by a viral infection and may or may not be associated with cough and bronchitis it is a self limiting condition. All you have to do is rest your vocal cords by not talking too loud and you will gain your voice back in few days but if you still can not talk than see an ent.
