Fluids, steam, rest.: Any time you get laryngitis (loss of voice) drink lots of fluids and get as much rest as possible. A complete loss of voice implies that you have a pretty significant infection and i would not ignore the symptoms. Voice rest and steam (in the shower) will help. If you are not getting better after 2 weeks, I would get in and see an ENT specialist to make sure nothing more serious is going on.
