Voice rest: Complete voice rest for 10 days, good hydration. Don't clear your throat or whisper. Talk softly if you have to.

Depends: Majority of the time, the voice will fully recover after a bout of acute laryngitis. If it does not, i would encourage having your throat and vocal cords examined to rule out any other worrisome pathology, especially if you are a smoker.

Voice Rest: is very important. Try saltwater gargles. Mix tsp of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle w this several times/day. You can gargle w Aloe Vera juice a couple of times per day.

Fluids, steam, rest.: Any time you get laryngitis (loss of voice) drink lots of fluids and get as much rest as possible. A complete loss of voice implies that you have a pretty significant infection and i would not ignore the symptoms. Voice rest and steam (in the shower) will help. If you are not getting better after 2 weeks, I would get in and see an ENT specialist to make sure nothing more serious is going on.

Rest...: Rest your voice as much as possible by not raising your voice, etc. Also, drink plenty of fluids. Avoid straining your voice. It will return in a few days. If it doesn't, you need to see your doctor.
