A member asked:

Is it normal for a child to have a full body examination by his or her doctor every year?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: This is the current recommendation to prevent any serious problems from appearing. Most pediatricians do not perform routine rectal or vaginal exams, however. I have seen otherwise heathy appearing children have newly found serious problems at their yearly exams.
