A member asked:

Just went and had an xray and the doc said i had an "avulsion-fracture" - any advice or similar situations?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Avulsion-fracture: In general, fractures take 6-8 weeks to heal. An avulsion is a small fracture usually with a soft tissue attachment. Activity such as walking is frequently allowed, because it doesn't prolong the healing. However, for complete healing to take place allow 3-4 months. Symptoms should gradually improve during that time, till they finally resolve. See less
