See Orthopaedics: Please see a specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery. Sounds like you may have a Lisfranc injury that may have not been evident on first exam. if the MD sees bridging callus, that is a sign there is motion a the fracture site. Please see a specialist in Foot and Ankle Orthopaedics for the best outcome. Stay calm and see ortho. Good luck to you. http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=A00162
