A member asked:

If my baby is allergic to my dog, is getting rid of my dog my only option?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends...: ...On the severity of the allergy. Your pediatrician may be able to control the allergic symptoms with medications until your child can outgrow the allergy. And since many dog allergies are specific to the dander (dead skin) that they shed, bathing your dog frequently may go a long way toward alleviating the symptoms as well.
