Better not: So such thing as smoking carefully. You will have a higher chance of getting a dry socket if you smoke during healing.

Not recommended: The National Health Service advice is to not smoke for at least 24-72 hours after any dental extraction, including the extraction of wisdom teeth. I always suggest to my patients who are smokers to take advantage of the fact that they had surgery in their mouths to quit smoking. I have convinced a few. Good luck.
