I have shingles. should i be around my baby sister who's about 2 months?

Depends: The debris from your lesions contain infectious particles that can spread the virus of chickenpox (cp), not your spit or cough as would be the case if you had cp. Simply covering the area & preventing any contact with that material avoids spread to anyone. If your mother had CP as a child, baby has some protection against the disease & if they get it at that age it tends to very mild.
