A member asked:

Hi....i just want to know if one is having flu like symptoms and there is like two pimples on my back is that necessarily considered shingles? i have a baby who is almost 2months old will this affect her badly if it is shingles.....no pain

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: Two pimples on your back is likely 2 pimples on your back. Shingles are usually clusters of blisters when they erupt, only on one side of the body (don't cross the middle). It it were it is unlikely to effect baby. The germ from shingles is only spread from contaminants of the blisters. If you had chickenpox as a kid or the vaccine, the baby would have your immunity anyway.
