Should not yet: You have to adjust your expectations because the vast majority of 1 month olds will not sleep through the night yet because they need to feed through the night yet.They do not yet have the fat stores or the metabolism to be able to go long stretches without eating. It is quite rare to sleep through night before 2 months,and is actually more on average around 4 months before it happens consistently

May take weeks: It may not be until 2 to 4 months that your baby can make it "all night" without feeding. You can try putting the baby down after their last feeding in the evening, then when he wakes up and fusses overnight, give him a few minutes to see if he can settle himself. Now is a good time to introduce a "lovey" item for him to " attach" to, like a stuffed animal or blanket. Self consolation is key.
