NASH: Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis--a fatty infiltration that occurs in the liver. If alcohol is not the cause then it is related to the diabetes. Keeping diabetes under control is step one. Studies on nutritional supplements have mixed reports. Vitamin e, milk thistle, nac, taurine, and Alpha lipoic acid are often discussed, and have been researched in clinical trials. See a nutritionist also.

Fatty Liver: Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (nash). Stop alcohol if any. Control diabetes. Reduce fatty foods (eat low 25 to 50 gm fats per day) . Lower carbs. Exercise 5 days a week daily for 30 mins each. You need 1, 735 calories/day to lose 1 kg per week. You should take 185 (40%) - 347 (75%) grams of carbohydrate for your energy needs. (55% = 255 grams, 65% = 301 grams).
