Sore throat: If her fever has resolved and in general getting better except for sore throat this could be related to a viral infection. More common than strep a virus is the most common reason for upper respiratory tract infection and that includes throat infection. However, if fever is persistent and/or higher and condition is not better or worse should be seen again by pediatrician.

Re evaluation : Prolonged fever needs to be reevaluated to make sure there is no identifiable source for it ( recheck ears, throat etc and if female would especially check urine as well ) . Good luck
