Get an exam by ur Dr: Probably just overuse of joint or muscular strain, but there are some things like occult fractures, hip dysplasias, etc. That may flare up and present like this. Might get an xray of the hip joint, and a good exam by your dr. Start there, if ok then i'd recommend longer periods of rest between runs, or take up another form of exercise. Pain in hip joint can present as groin pain.
