Increasing: pain in groin indicates a need to see your doctor ASAP. You MAY have a hernia or pelvic inflammation. In any case, you don't want it to get worse. Peace and good health.

Difficult to say: Without more information it could be anything from an infection to a hernia to a vacular problem. Bottom line is that if it is getting worse time to see a doctor to take a look at it.
