Colon or prostate: The two most likely candidates for the cause of your problem are diverticulitis or prostatitis. Were you told if you had diverticulosis after your colonoscopy? If so, then infection in one of the diverticula lying next to the bladder is likely. Infection in the prostate gland can cause similar symptoms, especially since it hurts when you press just above the pubis. You need to see your physician.
