Saline irrigations.: After a septoplasty, usually, nothing needs to be done because the normal muco-ciliary clearance of the nose is automatically cleansing the mucus of the nose. Warm saline (salt water) irrigations are always helpful.

Depends: Depends if you mean immediately after, or in the weeks following. Usually nose is packed immediately. So nothing to do except keep outside clean with q-tips and saline. Ask your ENT surgeon for specific instructions in your case. Depends on many factors.
