Can a doppler imaging x-ray be performed without injecting a dye in to the veins?

Venous Doppler: A venous duplex ultrasound which is the gold standard for the evaluation of leg veins does not involve any dye injection. Cat scan and Mri to evaluate veins would involve dye injection.
