White Tongue: That mouthwash contains Chlorhexidine digluconate which is an antimicrobial agent and may be affecting the natural balance in your mouth. White tongue coatings could be caused by a variety of things and some require other types of treatment. Many individuals merely get a white coating of plaque on their tongues just as it develops on teeth and may not require treatment at all-just daily scraping.

White tongue: Corsodyl (chlorhexiadiine) mouthwash may be counterproductive, reducing normal oral bacteria and allowing fungal overgrowth. Please see your Dentist for examination and advice. If Dentist unable to help, seek out specialist in Oral Medicine or Oral Pathology.
