Autogenous graft: Oral surgery is considered moderate surgical procedure that involves graft harvested from the patient and is placed in the form of a block in to the socket or other severe bone loss areas. More often the block of bone is obtained from the lower jaw in the wisdom teeth region or chin. Good luck.

No surgery minor!: The reality is that no surgery is really minor. Maybe less invasive, but every surgical procedure has it's risks and benefits. Make sure you follow thru with your implant placement once your block grafts have matured, as if you wait to long, the newly integrated bone could start to dissolve!

Implant Graft: Yes it is a minor surgery if the block is from donor bone. If the bone is from the patient then there are two sites that will need to heal. Surgery is never minor for the patients. Most providers have a grate bedside manner to manage this.

No: Any surgery is not minor when you are the one having it. Not sure about the complexity of the block graft you refer to. Much depends on the donor site-jaw,hip,rib ? Not much block grafting done anymore due to unpredictable long term success.Y ou might consider getting another 2 opinions before deciding to do this. See both Oral Surgeons and a Prosthodontist (specialist in reconstruction).Good Luck
