what is the difference between ovarian torsion and rupture?d cyst

Pain severity?: Many patients with twisted ovaries note that the pain makes it difficult to "laugh, talk, walk, breathe, or be touched in the abdomen". Ruptured cyst patients note a "moment of severe pain" which often passes after a few hours.A twised ovary requires immediate surgery 100% of the time and a ruptured cyst often does not.

If I have cysts, can I breastfeed?

Yes: Cysts are benign, which means they are not cancerous or going to hurt you in the long run. They can get large during pregnancy however. Cysts by themselves won't prevent you from breastfeeding. If they are large and near the nipple, they may make it more difficult. You can talk to your doctor or lactation specialist about how to get around that.

None: Herniation results from rupture of the annulus fibrosis, the tough outer ring of the disc allowing the inner contents (nucleous) of the disc to extrude.

Yes, ERT does: Unopposed estrogen therapy (ert) does increase the risk of ovarian cancer. The jury is still out on HRT although the women health institute study did find that continuous combined HRT may increase the risk of ovarian cancer slightly. Keep in mind that ovarian cancer is rare, much rarer than breast cancer. See your doc for a frank talk on this.

Pain: Most ovarian cysts resolve on their own or with treatment. Occasionally, they leak the cyst fluid within (ruptured cyst) or twist (ovarian torsion). When that happens there is usually some degree of pain.

Embryonic cells: Ectodermal embryonic cells enclosed into the ovary at early formation "get activated" later in life producing dermoid cysts, that can contain hair and teeth when surgically removed and opened.
