A 19-year-old female asked:
Doctor says i either have kidney stones or a ruptured ovarian cyst, and ultrasound isn't for another 2 weeks. is there a way to tell the difference?

Another doctor: The stone in the ureter is not going to be adequately diagnosed by a pelvic ultrasound. If you're continuing to have significant abdominal and pelvic pain I would see a physician willing to do the definitive study which would be a CT scan
