Not the same: Ovarian torsion caused by twisting on blood vessels & usually fallopian tube cutting off blood supply to ovary. Partial cause could be ovarian cyst. Can be diagnosed by ultrasound & corrected laparoscopically. Ovarian rupture is ruptured corpus luteum cyst, also very painful.Possible internal hemorrhage. Temporize if minor not if severe. Both t&r conditons present with abdominal pain & vomiting.

A 33-year-old member asked:

Should my baby be in the same percentile for height and weight?

No: No, this is a common misconception! if all children had the same percentile for height and weight, there would be no tall skinny, broad muscular, or short heavy kids! growth percentiles are mostly used to predict and track growth over time.

A 33-year-old member asked:

How do I ensure my baby's head stays the same shape?

Tummy time!: Many babies develop flattening of the back of the head in the first 4-6 months from sleeping on their backs. Tummy time can help to avoid this. Also, make sure you put your baby in different seats, different positions and encourage him/her to look to both sides in the first few months. Most flattening resolves on its own when babies start to sit up (after 6 months).
A 30-year-old female asked:

I have bilateral ovarian cysts. With no fluid. What does this mean?

Dr. Bac Nguyen

Just ovarian cysts: Every woman of reproductive age forms cysts during her cycles--the process of ovulation forms cysts. Often these resolve/shrink, but unfortunately some don't and may enlarge resulting the "ovarian cyst" many have them and may not have symptoms. Some people have large ones and may cause pain. Some twist on themselves and cause torsion. If you concerns, consult doc. Good luck.

Kinda: If you have little to no estrogen from your ovaries you should not bleed at all. But if you have some in your diet or are overweight you may have bleeding so talk to your obgyn or endocrinologist.

Yes: Casting for 6-8 weeks and therapy works for most. Slightly higher re- tear rates without surgical repair. But, no risk of surgery.
