I have an enlarged heart caused by copd, what to do?

Good meds and oxygen: Common in severe copd. This is caused by pulmonary hypertension from possible hypoxia. I would rec for you to follow up with your md. Use your inhalers and have them check your oxygen levels at rest/walking and sleeping. Watch for leg swelling as well.

Depends: About 40% of patient with COPD can have a common form of heart failure which can be improved with a variety of medications. There is a smaller group of patients that have heart failure involving their right heart and those patient require special attention. You should make an appt with a pulmonologist to discuss the various treatment options.
