Asthma/copd: It is not possible without more information to know whether you have reactive airways disease or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. If you are not happy with your cardiologist, ask to change physicians.

See allergist: Although some people with asthma can develop copd, it is still uncommon at your age. I think the probability is much higher for asthma. What is the difference? Nearly totally reversible airway obstruction is found in asthma vs little or no airway reversibility in copd. The latter is most frequently associated with smoking.

Depaend on diagnosis: Usually a cardiologist will not treat either one. Sometimes your symptoms if you have heart disease may overlap with lung symptoms. A team approach is best. Also if one is not happy with a doctor always seek a second opinion. This is your health your talking about. Also a big difference from COPD or asthma. Need to distinguish one from the other.
