If it's greater than: Since they are poisonous, a reasonable fear and desire not to expose yourself to them is wise. If your reaction is excessive and is there even to a photo or the word or something that does not pose any threat - it may be a phobia. But even then, if you have almost not chance of having to deal with them at any level - it might not be a problem worth treating. Okay?

CBT: Only you would know if scorpions scare you. If so and you want help, seek a cognitive-behavioral therapist who specializes in phobias. One method they use is systematic desensitization which slowly and incrementally brings the person closer and closer to the thing they are afraid of in slow, graduated steps that help make the anxiety more tolerable.
