A member asked:

What to do if i'm diabetic in need of effective diet!?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Healthy diet: You could see a nutritionist (available thru your doctor's office). For my diabetic patients and all other patients, I recommend: whole grains only (no white or refined grains), nonfat dairy, legumes, nuts, healthy oils (canola & olive), fruits & veggies, & lean meats; minimal refined anything, saturated fat, & simple sugar. If you do that, at least what crosses your lips will be healthy.
